WHAT IS YOUR NAME

what is your name? (WIYN) is the solo, genre-hopping project of a Toronto musician also behind the breakcore/sampling project 2 0 2 1. His music moves fluidly between indie rock, post-rock, midwest emo, and shoegaze — dreamy, sample-warped, and deeply personal.

Key releases include the now now and never (2022), beyond old names; everyone's song. (2023), and My Name Is... (2023), the first of which has been praised as a nostalgic shoegaze standout. Still primarily a home-recording project, WIYN has expressed openness to eventually performing with a full live band.
