separator is an indie-alternative band based in Whitby/Toronto, tagged across genres including grunge, britpop, post-punk, and punk. The band is a quintet: Foster McAffee (lead vocals, guitars), Carter Menary (guitars, backing vocals), Carson Young (guitars), James Carr (bass, lead bass), and Colton Mowbray (drums).
Their most recent release, separator II, came out in November 2024 — described as the sophomore EP release from the Canadian indie rock quintet, with all songs written, produced, and performed by the band themselves.
